Sam and his crew did a fantastic job safely removing three huge pine trees from our backyard. While working, they preserved the integrity of the other trees and bushes. We’ll be using them in the future for another project.

Wow! What a joy it was to work with Solid Roots. From start to finish, Sam and his crew were professional, honest, diligent and their attention to detail was like no other! They cut down multiple trees and trimmed others around our property. They cleaned up, hauled everything off and left our yard in pristine condition. If you are needing tree work, I highly recommend Solid Roots. You will not be disappointed!

Very professional, priority on safety, and competitive pricing. They took down one tree for me and trimmed up two others. I appreciated that they used a crane for the work - speeds up the job and decreases risk. Additionally, equipment appeared to be well maintained and personal protective equipment was new and in good condition. Would certainly hire again.

Today is the second time that I have used Solid Roots Tree Service with first time being back in 2022. I highly recommend this business. They are very professional, offer prompt service at reasonable prices. Sam Johnson and his crew were on time, did an amazing job of trimming some limbs hanging over my workshop/garage and hanging over a neighbors cedar tree, cut down a large mostly dead poplar tree and a dead dogwood tree that had limbs hanging over my electric service line and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. You cannot go wrong with Solid Roots Tree Service

Our old oak tree never looked so good. This company came on time, and professionally trimmed off the dead branches and lifted our canopy. Great work!

I cannot say enough good things about Solid Roots. Communication was great from the beginning, they were quick to come out for an estimate and kind enough to do two estimates for me. The pricing was incredibly reasonable. When Sam and his team came out to do the work, they were so professional and cleaned up my yard so well. Definitely give Solid Roots a call!!

Sam and his crew did a great job trimming several large trees on our property. One of the trees is a 100+ year old live oak tree. They trimmed the tree perfectly. Another oak tree was over one of our buildings and Sam brought in his crane to safely remove the branches over the apartment building. I would strongly recommend Strong Roots Tree Service .

The first thing you'll notice is their attention to planning the strategies of taking trees down skillfully. Even though we live in the woods, the trees we wanted removed were next to the house ,plus gardens and other vegetation. Sam methodically ran the 100' crane while Bobby topped our 65' trees, placing them to other workers who cut branches & limbs, to feed into shreader. This team works with the best of technology and safety equipment too. We have had there cut our trees, but have never felt the respect and caring given to each other & for the job. When you do hire Solid Roots, take the time talking to them. Wonderful caring, Christian men too. Thank you Sam, Bobby & crew.

Sam, the owner was right there working with his men. Trimmed and opened up several live oak trees in yard. Got limbs away from house. Very pleased!

How do I know if I need tree maintenance in Wilmington?

You may need tree maintenance if you notice dead branches, uneven growth, or signs of disease. Regular inspections by professionals help identify risks early and ensure trees remain safe, healthy, and structurally balanced throughout the year.

How do you assess tree health?

As one of the experienced tree contractors in Wilmington, we assess tree health by inspecting bark condition, canopy density, root stability, and signs of disease or pest infestation. They also evaluate structural balance to determine if pruning, treatment, or removal is necessary for safety and growth.

What equipment do you use?

We use chainsaws, pole saws, rigging systems, cranes, and safety harnesses. This specialized equipment allows precise cutting, safe removals, and efficient handling of trees in both residential and commercial environments.

Is tree maintenance in Wilmington expensive?

It varies in cost depending on tree size, condition, and required services. Regular maintenance is generally more affordable than emergency removals, helping homeowners avoid costly damage and ensuring long-term tree health and safety.

Can you handle emergency situations?

Yes, we often provide emergency response for storm-damaged or fallen trees. Professionals quickly assess hazards, secure the area, and remove dangerous debris to restore safety and prevent further property damage.

How long does a typical Wilmington, NC tree services job take?

The duration of Wilmington, NC tree services depend on project complexity. Simple trimming may take a few hours, while large removals or storm cleanup can take a full day or more, depending on site conditions and equipment needed.

What happens after tree removal?

After tree removal, our team clear debris, cut logs into manageable sections, and may grind stumps if requested. The site is left clean, safe, and ready for landscaping or other property improvements.
